Free Community Hero Days – Building Confidence, Safety and First Aid Skills for Everyone

Everyone can be a hero, and learning how to help someone starts at any age.

At Advanced Mobile Training (AMT), we believe first aid education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability or experience.

That's why we're excited to offer our Community Hero Days – an interactive, hands-on experience designed specifically for childcare centres, disability services and community support organisations.

Our Community Hero Days bring first aid and personal safety education directly to participants in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment. Rather than sitting in a classroom, participants get to explore practical activities, learn through play and build confidence in everyday situations.

Five Interactive Stations to Explore

Each Community Hero Day is designed around five different activity stations, giving participants the opportunity to work through practical scenarios with the guidance and support of AMT trainers, childcare educators and disability support workers.

1. What Do I Do When Someone Gets Hurt?

2. Safe or Unsafe?

3. Calling for Help – Being a Little Hero

4. First Aid Heroes – Everyday Injuries

5. The steps taken when you are injured

Working Together With Educators and Support Workers

Our Community Hero Days are not just about the participants. They are also an opportunity for childcare educators and disability support workers to be involved in the learning experience.

For disability services, activities can be adapted using:

  • Visual prompts and picture cards.

  • Simple instructions and demonstrations.

  • Hands-on activities and familiar objects.

  • Repetition and supported learning.

  • Individual participation at a comfortable pace.

We want everyone to feel included, supported and proud of what they achieve.

Why Community Hero Days Matter

First aid education is about more than knowing how to put on a bandage. It's about developing awareness, confidence and the ability to recognise when something isn't right.

By introducing these skills early and making them accessible to people with different learning abilities, we can help build safer and more confident communities.

We want participants to walk away knowing three important things:

  1. I can recognise when something is wrong.

  2. I know how to get help.

  3. I can play a part in keeping myself and others safe.

And most importantly, they can walk away feeling like a hero!
