Non-accredited Child/ Young Person at Risk (Refresher)
This Non-Accredited Child/Young Person at Risk Refresher course is designed for individuals who have completed CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk, or who require a Child Protection awareness program without accreditation. The course covers the latest 2025 legislation, regulations, and reporting requirements, including updates which came into effect in January 2026. It explores recognising all forms of abuse, identifying inappropriate behaviour, and writing formal reports. Participants will strengthen their understanding of duty of care, legal obligations, and reporting procedures to protect children and young people from harm. Please note: This course also meets the NSW Department of Education Child Protection Refresher Training requirements.

This nationally recognised course has been designed for professionals working with children to stay current with 2025 child protection legislation, regulations, reporting guidelines, and best-practice requirements, including updates which came into effect in January 2026. As mandatory reporters, we all share a responsibility to recognise indicators of abuse and neglect, protect children from future harm, including harm caused by other children, and take appropriate action. Participants will strengthen their understanding of legal and ethical obligations, duty of care, and effective reporting procedures through practical scenarios and case studies that reflect the complex realities of child protection work.
